PURPOSE:To easily and exactly select a source picture and to easily execute comparison diagnosis by simultaneously displaying a lot of reduced pictures (>=4 sheets) and selecting the displayed source picture. CONSTITUTION:Source picture data such as tomographic images, are inputted from an input part 2 and the source picture data for 500 pictures, for example, are stored in a disk storage part 5. When an instruction is applied from the input part 2 for showing the selection of the source picture with the possibility of display, a display controller 6 reads out identification information from a picture data control part 4 and displays the information on a display 7 in the format of a list. On the other hand, a display 8 divides a screen into 12 parts. Reduced picture data are taken out from a cache storage part 9 through a cache control part 10 and the reduced picture is displayed in a block where a box cursor is existent. Thus, the required source picture can be easily and exactly selected and the comparison diagnosis can be facilitated. |
