PURPOSE:To improve responsiveness in forming an exposing range by providing a light shielding means consisting of transmission type liquid crystal display elements and a control means which carries out light shielding control of this shielding means and sets the exposing range on a belt-like photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The light shielding means (light shielding device 106) is constituted of the transmission type liquid crystal display element 106a and a driver circuit 106c which drives the transmission type liquid crystal display element 106a. The light shielding control of the light shielding device 106 is carried out based on a specified exposing range information, and the control means 116 which sets the exposing range on the belt-like photosensitive body 104 is provided. Further, as the exposing range information, for example, transfer paper size, masking range information, trimming range information, and synthetic image range information, etc., can be utilized. Thus, the responsiveness when forming the exposing range can be made good, and even when a multiple number of originals are to be synthesized, image synthesis can be carried out with one developing / fixing process. |
