PURPOSE:To provide a bimolecular liposome capable of being profitably and inexpensively prepared and being stable against heat, light, etc., in a simple process by using an alpha-sulfo fatty acid derivative as a constitutional material. CONSTITUTION:A bimolecular membrane liposome as a vesicle is formed of a compound of the formula (R<1> and R<2> are 6-22C alkyl wherein the sum of their carbon numbers is >=18; Z is O or S; M is H, alkali metal, 1/2 atom of alkaline earth metal or ammonium), e.g. decyl alpha-sulfolaurate, by a known method such as an ultrasonic treating method, an injection method or a surfactant treating method. The bimolecular membrane liposome can encapsulate any other substance in the vesicle and employed as a drug carrier for encapsulating various physiologically active drug ingredients therein. The bimolecular membrane liposome can utilize the characteristic thereof comprising a good oil-soluble property for the utilization to oil agents, ointments, agricultural chemicals, etc. |
