PURPOSE:To allow the common development of a negative type photosensitive planographic printing plate and a positive type photosensitive planographic printing plate and to allow the common processing of both even in post-processing by proesssing these plates with a developer common for negative and positive to be repetitively used, then processing the plates with an unused desensitizing liquid in common use as a rinse while replenishing a replenishing liquid thereto. CONSTITUTION:After the negative type photosensitive planographic printing plate (PS plate) and the positive PS plate are processed with the developer common for negative and positive to be repetitively used, the plate are processed with the unused desensitizing liquid in common use as the rinse while the replenishing liquid is replenished thereto. The developer components carried in by sticking to the developed planographic printing plates, the compsn. of the dis solved photosensitive layers, etc., are, therefore, dispersed and stabilized and the effect of removing the alkaline developer sticking to the developed planographic printing plates and changing the non-image parts of the plates to the property having the high affinity to water is obtd. Since there is no need for washing the plates prior to erasing by an erasing liquid, the post-processing is simplified. The negative type PS plate and the positive type PS plate are commonly developed in this way and the post-processing is commonly executable as well. |
