PURPOSE:To enhance the transfer characteristics to recording paper in a recording method utilizing a recording body having a surface whose sweepback contact angle lowers upon the contact with a contact material such as water in a heated state. CONSTITUTION:A latent image S is formed on the surface of a recording body 7 by heating the recording body 7 in the presence of an ink liquid 3a by a thermal head 43 and the ink liquid is bonded to the latent image S. At this time, the cross section of the heating resistor part of the thermal head 43 is made circular or oval to make the shape of the formed laten image S circular or oval. A stable image is obtained on recording paper P on the basis of the latent image S having this shape. |
