PURPOSE:To obtain a molding equipment capable of widening a gate-forming region and sealing of high reliability by keeping the gate that introduces a molding material into cavities formed by gate-forming means provided separately from the die. CONSTITUTION:This equipment comprises of a die having cavities 3 to be filled with a molding material and gates 25 that introduce the molding material into the cavities 3, this gate 25 being formed by a gate-forming means 30 provided separately from a die 1. For example, a gate-forming plate 30 is formed to be approx. 0.8mm thick out of a material similar to that of the die 1. The gate-forming plate 30 is fitted into a recess 32 provided in the bottom force 1a of a molding die 1, and a lead frame 20 is mounted in the bottom force 1a so that the gate-forming plate 30 fitted in the bottom force la and the top force 1b fix the lead frame 20, and the plate 30 and the bottom force and the bottom force 1a form gate 25 in the molding die 1. |
