<p>PURPOSE: To improve resolution by recording and reproducing the high pass component of a luminance signal separated from a composite video signal to the deep layer of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION: The high pass component of the luminance signal Y is recorded in a magnetic layer which is deeper than an audio signal recording layer through a high pass signal recording medium 20 and a first head 1. In a low pass signal recording means 30, the signal Y has only a band less than a prescribed frequency when it passes through a low pass filter 31. The luminance signal of the low band is recorded on the surface layer of the medium through the means 30 and a second head 2. A high pass component signal recorded in the deeper layer of the recording medium and the low pass component signal which is recorded on the surface layer are respectively reproduced. Thus, the resolution of the recording/reproduction of the video signal can be improved.</p> |
