The present invention applies to the field of interior and exterior architecture and of decoration. Its specific subject is a device for closing off or isolating semicircular open areas, which device consists of an assembly of leaves made from a flexible material, which is folded up on itself around a point of involution and can be opened out in order essentially to cover the surface to be closed off, with the aid of a means which links the different leaves together and is actuated by a pull means.
