PURPOSE:To prepare a card having photograph data recorded thereon without requiring manual operation such as bonding by recording variable data containing photograph data using a variable data recording means and laminating a center core and an over sheet to integrate the same. CONSTITUTION:Polyvinyl choride sheets 2b are temporarily bonded to both surfaces of a printed substrate 2a and pressed thereto under heating to be bonded to the substrate 2a to form a center core 2. Variable data such as a portrait photograph or attribute data are recorded on the surface of the core 2 using a variable data recording means. Over sheets 3 delivered from a polyvinyl chloride sheet roll are temporarily bonded to both surfaces of the core 2 and the whole is subsequently cut to prepare cut-off temporarily bonded bodies 1A and,at the same time, a magnetic stripe 19 is transferred to one of the over sheets 3. A plurality of the temporarily bonded bodies 1A are automatically placed in parallel to be pressed under heating. A laminate 1B is punched into a card having a predetermined size and unnecessary margin parts are removed and the formed card is applied to an emboss encoder to form emboss characters 7 of a name or the like. Therefore, photograph bonding operation is unnecessary and the card can be automatically prepared. |
