<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve resistance to high temperatures and resistance to corrosion by salt by reducing both influences of salt and heat in a flexible tube for the exhaust emission of an automobile which has an outer blade comprising a bellows for absorbing expanding and contracting displacement and knitted thin metallic wires. SOLUTION: A cylindrical outer blade 2 is disposed outside a bellows 1, wherein the cylindrical outer blade 2 is made by knitting a plurality of batches of band-like wires 2a which are required for a single lap in a slant direction into a cylinder and wherein, letting a part surrounded by the side ends of four batches of band-like wires 2a which are knitted in four directions be an opening 4, the total opening area of many openings 4 formed over the whole outer blade 2 is set in the range of 20% to 50% for the whole surface area of the outer blade 2, and exhaust pipe extending parts 6b, 7b for shutting exhaust heat are disposed inside the bellows 1.</p> |
