<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a firm and compact paper feed cassette which can deal with various sorts of paper size as many as possible. SOLUTION: This paper feed cassette 1 is provided with a main vessel 2 of double construction constituted of an upper plate 7 and a bottom plate 8, and a sub-vessel 3 is slidaby inserted into a space formed by the double construction. Because the sub-vessel 3 is slidable against the main vessel 2, and a rear end guide member 21 is slidable along a slide face 22 on the sub-member 2, this cassette can deal with various paper sheet sizes by adjusting these positions. The position of the sub-vessel 3 against the main vessel 2 can be adjusted onto a prescribed position formed with a recessed part by the engaging member of the sub-vessel 3 engaged with the recessed part of rails provided on the bottom plate 8. The upper plate 7 of the main vessel 2 is provided with a relief part 23 at pushing the sub-vessel 3 in the main vessel 2, but the strength of the main vessel 2 is insured by the bottom plate 8.</p> |
