The checker finds easily the transmission lines of the transmission cable to be connected to another terminal. The checker comprises a transmission unit and a reception unit. The transmission unit includes a counter pulse generator for generating multiple pulses corresponding to multiple channel by dividing the frequency of the output pulse of a pulse generator, a synchronizing pulse generator, a mixer for mixing the output pulses of the counter pulse generator and the synchronizing pulse generator and a channel lamps. The reception unit includes a discriminator for dividing the synchronizing pulse and the channel counter pulse from the transmitted pulse, a counter for counting the channel counter pulse, a flip flop for controlling the counter time of the counter according to the synchronizing pulse, a time delay circuit for generating the delay signal to enable the counter and flip flop, and a display for displaying the output of the counter.
