<p>An absorber of an absorption system refrigerator including a plurality of cooling water pipings (2) so arranged as to extend in a horizontal direction inside an absorber chamber, and a plurality of flat sheet-like heat transfer plates (1) arranged in the horizontal direction under a vertical posture with clearances between them, wherein the cooling water pipings (2) vertically penetrate through the heat transfer plates (1) and the pitch Pd of the heat transfer plates (1) is set to the range from 3 to 15 mm. An absorption liquid tank (10) having a V sectional shape is formed integrally with the heat transfer plates (1) on the upper end surface of each heat transfer plate (1), and extends in the longitudinal direction of the upper end surface of each heat transfer plate (1). A plurality of absorption liquid flow-down holes (11) are aligned in two rows with gaps between them in the longitudinal direction of the heat transfer plates (1) above both surfaces of the heat transfer plates (1), and the outlet of each absorption liquid flow-down port (11) keeps contact with the surface of the heat transfer plate (1). Therefore, an absorber having higher absorption capacity than the prior art can be accomplished.</p> |
