<p>A method of introducing a long-chain DNA molecule into a protoplast, comprising the step (a) of mixing a protoplast suspension, polyethylene glycol and a long-chain DNA molecule so as to achieve a final concentration of the DNA molecule of at least 50 νg/ml, the step (b) of harvesting the protoplasts, followed by washing and culturing thereof in a medium, and the step (c) of sorting the transformed cells. This method permits long-chain DNA molecules to be readily introduced into a wide variety of plant cells.</p> |
