The invention relates to a disposal device for removing used injection syringe needles. The inventive device contains a receptacle (1) for said needles (10) and an unscrewable device (12) with a motor drive unit (3, 3a, 3b, 4, 4a, 5, 6a, 6). The unscrewable device (2) has radially displaceable clamping members which are configured so as to rest on the periphery of an area of the needle (10) in addition to releasing the needle (10) so that it can be discharged into the receptacle (1). The drive direction of the motor drive unit can be reversed inside the disposal device.
