The nominal fracture line and tear-off strip are situated in the flat part of the top surface. The base surface of the can has a recess rotationally symmetrical with the top surface, to facilitate coaxial stacking. The base surface has a flat annular outline to achieve stability. The can and lid are made of sheet metal or plastics and do not warp or break with excess pressure.
