<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum which is inexpensive and has excellent performance. SOLUTION: The drum 1 consists of a body-shell 2 which is formed to a polygonal prism shape, drum heads 3 which are tented at both side ends of the body-shell 2, a mounting frame 4 which tents and mounts these drum heads 3 at the body-shell 1, fixtures 5 which fix the drum heads 3 to the body-shell 2 and a covering layer which is formed on the surface of the body-shell 2. The body-shell 2 is formed to the polygonal prism shape having a polygonal face which is approximately the same in the diameter in the central part and the diameter at both ends by using a plurality of plate materials and coupling these plate materials to each other by connections and joints. If the drum is formed in such a manner, the manufacture is made simple and easy and the drum may be manufactured by anyone. The man-hours are drastically reduced and particularly the drum is adequate for mass production. The range of material selection is widened and the defects intrinsic to the materials are ameliorated. In addition, even the materials which are unusable hetetofore are usable and, therefore, the effective utilization of resources is made possible thereby reducing the cost. Further, the drum may be enjoyed as interior goods and the range of use may be widened.</p> |
