A railroad trackwork intersection assembly such as a crossing intersection (100) or a turnout intersection (200) is provided with at least one flange-bearing frog subassembly (112;202) which has railcar wheel flangeways (116;118;218;220) of uniform depth throughout the frog planform that co-operate with trackwork traffic rails (104;106;204;206), with easer subassemblies (108;110;212) that are positioned exterior to but abut the frog subassembly (112;292), that have sloping flange support surfaces, and that may be removed from or adjusted in the assembly without moving or adjusting either the frog subassembly (112;202) or the co-operating trackwork traffic rails (104;106;204;206).
