FIELD: manufacture of glass, more particularly composition for chemically resistant transparent non-crystallized lead-free glass. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises combination of up to 98 wt % of alkali borosilicate having low content of aluminium oxide, 2-20 wt % of main additive of one element selected from group consisting of zirconium, tin, titanium or compounds thereof. Composition comprises less than 10 wt % of one element selected from bismuth, barium, strontium, zinc, lanthanum, molybdenum, cerium and/or inorganic fluorine compound. Composition is prepared by mixing alkali borosilicate having low content of aluminium oxide and additive of element selected from group consisting of zirconium, tin, titanium or compounds thereof and is melted at 1150-1250 C for 1-4 hours.
