PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print the cover of a document comprising continuous front, back and rear covers automatically at a stroke. SOLUTION: Number of print 15, thickness of print sheet 16 and print sheet size 17 are stored at a print information receiving section 12. Thickness of the bundle of sheets of a document to be printed is determined based on the stored print information. A sheet for printing a cover 8 comprising front, back and rear covers is then selected from a sheet tray 6 and the cover 8 is printed on to a single sheet at a stroke.
