manufacture of helical seam tubes of thin-sheet metal. SUBSTANCE: method for making helical seam tubes with lock joining of seam comprises steps of feeding metallic strip to head for shaping tube; in order to prevent sliding of seam with lock joining providing by means of joining roller device fixed deformations of seam mutually spaced by certain intervals. Apparatus for performing the method includes joining roller having recess for making deformations together with opposite roller. Use of cord allows to prevent sliding in seam and provides necessary sealing of it. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of method, improved design of apparatus. 24 cl, 22 dwg |
