PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a recording image of a desired shutter chance with almost zero delay time at image pickup by transferring and recording a video signal stored in a buffer means in response to the image pickup operation to a recording medium. SOLUTION: When a photographer depresses a release button deeply from a half-depression state of the release button through recognition of a shutter chance, a release signal is switched to an H level and a write inhibit signal of a buffer memory 7 is outputted as an H signal from a sequence control circuit 11 synchronously with a 2nd synchronizing signal generated after that. The video signal of a pattern whose charge storage is first finished is stored in a memory pack 10 from a CCD 3 via a process circuit 5 and an A/D converter 6 synchronously with a succeeding synchronizing signal generated after the charge storage operation is finished. The video signal of each pattern stored in the buffer memory 7 succeedingly is transferred and stored in the memory pack 10 succeedingly synchronously with the synchronizing signal. |
