PURPOSE: A protecting panel transfer device for steel sheet coil package is provided to perform packaging in a safe situation and to enhance working efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A protecting panel(9) transferred from the exterior is unloaded to be loaded on a transfer device(10) by moving a loading device on a rail(12). After completion of loading, the transfer device returns to its adsorption position in the vertical lower of a carrier(20) and stops in a standby state for carriage. A motor(25a) loaded on a mobile table(21) of the carrier is operated to descend a screw shaft(25) and a fixed stand(23). An adsorption panel(24) mounted on the bottom of the fixed stand and an electromagnet(28) are adhered to the protecting panel. Herein, a damping spring(27) interposed in the adsorption panel performs damping. Thereby, damage due to adhesion is prevented.
