摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce gear change shock when the output of an engine is to be reduction-controlled at the time of selection of a running range of automatic gear from a racing condition of the engine by stopping an output reduction control when the finishing up of the connection of a clutch for running is detected. CONSTITUTION:When a running range is selected from a racing condition where an acceleration pedal is given at the time of selecting an N-range of an automatic transmission B, the output of an engine C is reduction-controlled by an integrated controller A. At the time, the finishing up of the connection of a frictional element D which is a clutch for running, is detected by a detection means E for connection finishing. When the finishing of the connection is detected, the abovementioned reduction control of the engine output is stopped by a reduction control stopping means F. Namely, the output reduction control of the engine C is stopped based on the finishing of the connection of the frictional element D, and a shock at the time of racing selection is reduced thereby. Insuficient driving torque due to unnecessary continuation of output reduction control or baking loss of the frictional element D can thus be prevented.
