PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article affording not only a dynamic fit surrounding its wearer but also an improved holding property. SOLUTION: The absorbent article with elastic-side panel is featured as follows. It is equipped with a comprehensive assemblage 22 and an elastic-side panel 30, and the comprehensive assemblage 22 has a top sheet 24, back sheet 26 and an absorbent core 28. The elastic-side panel 30 has a zero-strain stretch laminate which has at least two material layers 76, 77 that are fixed to each other in the state allowing substantially for no tension to be applied. One of the material layers constitute a stretchable material 77 and the other, an elastomer material 76, and they contribute to the additional mechanical stretchability sufficient for stretchable materials to their full capacity permanently.
