PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver the remote commander of which can accurately and easily make operations for controlling the television receiver. SOLUTION: An auxiliary operation button is provided on the remote commander that selectively commands a plurality of operations for the television receiver, and when a user depresses the auxiliary operation button, an image 16 of the remote commander is displayed on a screen 15 of a display device 12. Furthermore, when the user depresses an operation button of the remote commander 2, an image 17 of the depressed operation button in the image 16 of the remote commander displayed on the screen 15 of the display device 12 corresponding to the depressed operation button is blinked and displayed, and a name of the operation button and functions 19 of the operation button blinked as the image 17 are displayed on the screen 15.
