Regulator for model regulation of automobile IC engine incorporating adaptive error monitor for estimation of error within regulated system

The regulator has an adaptive error monitor (31) for estimating the error within the regulated system, e.g. the air intake manifold (3), coupled to a condition indicator (32), providing a control parameter for the throtte valve within the air intake manifold and a feedback regulation unit (33), ensuring that the air intake quantity converges to a required value. An independent claim for a model regulation system for an IC engine is also included.
