<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having further improved antibacterial and fungiproof effects by effectively eliminating bacteria in a whole flowing water channel for condensed water flowing down after generated in a heat exchanger. <P>SOLUTION: In the air conditioner, the heat exchanger 3 consisting of a number of fins 3a and a heat exchanger pipe 3b and a blowing fan 5 are provided in an air passage connecting an air inlet 1 to an air outlet 2 provided in a body A and a drain pan 4 is provided at the lower part of the heat exchanger 3 for receiving condensed water dropping therein. At the upper end of the heat exchanger 3 facing the air inlet 1, an antibacterial member 7 is mounted which is impregnated with an antibacterial and fungiproof agent. The condensed water is generated on the surface of the antibacterial member 7 by a temperature difference between suction air from the air inlet 1 and the heat exchanger 3 and the antibacterial and fungiproof agent dissolved in the condensed water flows down as bacteria eliminating water for eliminating bacteria in the heat exchanger 3 and the drain pan 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
