PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the processing load of stereoscopic image generation to increase the processing speed and to improve the memory efficiency.

SOLUTION: A sprite plotting control part 620 calculates the amounts of deviation of sprite plotting positions in individual view-point images from each set view point position. On the basis of a sprite plotting start position in lenticular lens coordinates at the view point and the amounts of deviation of sprite plotting positions in individual view-point images, a line buffer control part 640 calculates sprite plotting start positions in lenticular lens coordinates at respective view points. Next, the line buffer control part 640 specifies write areas of a line buffer 646 corresponding to respective calculated plotting start positions and simultaneously writes pertinent color information for respective view points. The line buffer control part 640 increments the plotting start position up to a sprite plotting end position to repeat processing, and thus a stereoscopic image is generated.
