<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original reading apparatus with an original feeding apparatus pivotally connected thereto for opening and closing, and thereby to reduce unnecessary radiation electric waves, costs, and useless electric power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: When grounding of the cabinet of the original feeding apparatus 11 is not sufficient by detecting that the original feeding apparatus 11 is in the opened state (conveyance impossible) to the original reading apparatus 1, and stopping power supply to the original feeding apparatus 11, unnecessary radiation electric waves is prevented from being generated from an original feeding apparatus controlling part 12 inside the original feeding apparatus. Also, when the original feeding apparatus 11 is in the opened state (conveyance impossible), power supply to the apparatus 11 is stopped and power consumption is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
