<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for judging whether or not the subject to be measured is a living body by means of a living body detection not using an electrical property the subject to be measured but using a pulse oximeter responding to the presentation of a living body site by a user, consequently, in the case of a non-living body, discontinues a registering or collating process to prevent the unauthorized invasion of a quasiliving body site, and in the case of a living body, executes the registering or collating process as usual. <P>SOLUTION: In this living body detecting method, a means for preventing the unauthorized invasion of the quasiliving body site is obtained, by means of the biosensing according to the pulse measurement not using the electric property of the subject to be measured but using the pulse oximeter responding to the presentation the living body site by the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
