PURPOSE:To uniformize a tint in printing without lowering a printing speed by a method wherein nozzle groups are disposed at predetermined intervals in a sub-scanning direction so that the nozzle surfaces thereof are disposed flush with each other. CONSTITUTION:Each of nozzle groups 111-114 is provided with a large number of nozzles 13 which are disposed in positions in a main-scanning direction and in a sub-scanning direction orthogonal thereto. The nozzle groups are disposed at predetermined intervals in a sub-scanning direction so that nozzle surfaces 14 thereof are disposed flush with each other. A partition part 12 is made of a plate mounted on the nozzle surface 14 and provided with cutouts 151-154 for exposing the nozzle groups 111-114. In this manner, in one scanning of a printing head, the four color nozzle groups 111-114 do not conduct the recording of the same line but different lines. As a result, the order of colors to be recorded can be kept constant. Because the nozzles are surrounded by the parti tion part 12 per color, the possibility that ink of another color may come close to the nozzle 13 can be eliminated, i.e., a color mixture can be prevented. |
