<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To isolate and identify a gene encoding a new leukotriene B<SB>4</SB>receptor having an ultrahigh possibility as a drug development target molecule and to provide a recombinant protein required to search for a substance modifying the activity thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The gene encoding the new leukotriene B<SB>4</SB>receptor is isolated and the full-length ORP (open reading frame) sequence is determined to express the leukotriene B<SB>4</SB>receptor. The leukotriene B<SB>4</SB>receptor, the gene of the leukotriene B4 receptor, a vector comprising the gene, a host cell comprising the vector, a method for producing the leukotriene B<SB>4</SB>receptor using the host cell and a method for screening the leukotriene B<SB>4</SB>receptor and a substance modifying the activity of the leukotriene B<SB>4</SB>receptor (a compound, a peptide and an antibody) are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
