<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon for a catheter and a balloon catheter with sufficient strength (pressure-resistance), flexible, and excellent in the trackability. <P>SOLUTION: The balloon 70 for the catheter comprises a tubular part 5 and catheter joint parts 7a and 7b at both ends of the tubular part 5. The balloon 70 has a multi-layer structure comprising a base material layer 2 made of a high-strength polymer (base material layer forming resin), a first coating layer 3 formed on the outer surface of the base material layer 2 made of a coating layer forming resin softer than the base material layer forming resin, and a second coating layer formed on the outer surface of the first coating layer 3 made of a resin softer than the first coating layer forming resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
