The invention relates to a dispenser-type packaging (1) for a cream or other substance that is applied by stroking a surface, comprising a chamber (5) wi th a discharge opening (10), for holding and storing the substance, a spindle (15) that is arranged in the chamber (5) in a longitudinal axial direction, in such a way that it can rotate, a plunger (18) which can be moved along the spindle (15) in the chamber (5), a toothed wheel (16) which is located outsi de the chamber (5) and is rotationally fixed to the spindle (15), and at least one activating button (4) which is located on the dispenser packaging (1) an d which has a moulded-on pusher element (23). The at least one activating butt on (4) with the pusher element (23) is arranged so that it can be moved from a rest position to an end position and back in relation to the toothed wheel (16), in such a way that when the activating button (4) is activated and caused to move from the rest position to the end position, the pusher elemen t (23) engages with a tooth (26) of the toothed wheel (16) and turns the tooth ed wheel. The aim of the invention is to ensure that the plunger can move back in the opposite direction to the pusher-driven direction of rotation. To this end, the dispenser packaging (1) has at least one pusher deflector (32), on which the at least one pusher element (23) is stopped before reaching the en d position and which deflects the pusher element from its engagement with the toothed wheel (16).
