PURPOSE:To obtain image recording whose size is restricted with respect to a color image recording by restricting the size of a color toner image within the size corresponding to the circumferential length of a transfer body which can be transferred. CONSTITUTION:In the case that the maximum size of a recording paper at a color mode time is the width of A4 by cross feeding, the maximum size of the recording paper can be made A3 size in a monochromatic mode when the recording paper is not wound to the transfer body and it is longitudinally fed. On the other hand, since the A4 size is the maximum size of the recording paper in the color mode, the display of copy inhibition (or impossibility) is executed on a display part 106 when the recording paper of the A3 size is inadvertently specified. Besides, an inhibition program is integrated so that a CPU 100 does not receive a copying start signal which is given by pressing a copying button 105. Therefore, the size of a color developed image is restricted to within the size of the circumferential length of a transfer drum 25. Thus, the image recording whose size is restricted by the transfer body is obtained with respect to the color image recording and the image recording whose size is larger than it is obtained with respect to the monochromatic image recording. |
