<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus efficiently and surely by preventing attachment of waterdrops to sheet material, without having to enlarge the apparatus, or to raise the cost or prolong the down time. <P>SOLUTION: Since the sheet material P, immediately after image fixing in a fixing unit 50, goes to a high temperature, moisture contained in the sheet material P is discharged outside the machine as water vapor. Condensation occurs, especially when the temperature in a part which is above the fixing unit 50 is lower and waterdrops generate; and when the waterdrops attach to the sheet material P, conveying trouble or an image failure, such as blotting, occurs. Instructions are issued to various driving motors by a control circuit, and the sheet material P is conveyed without having image formation. The waterdrops generated at a position where the sheet material P is conveyed can be removed by having them attach to the sheet matrial P, and the waterdrops can be prevented from attaching to the sheet P with an image formed on it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
