<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed pattern noise removing device which can remove a fixed noise pattern in an area having less pixels disposed horizontally than pixels in one image plane of an imaging device while reducing a waste of memory capacity, and an imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The fixed pattern noise removing device is disclosed for removing the fixed noise pattern generated in a partial area 5A among effective pixel areas 25 of the imaging device 22, the partial area 5A having less pixels disposed horizontally than pixels in the pixel areas 25. The fixed pattern noise removing device has a storage means for storing light shield data obtained from at least one horizontal line (a horizontal line in a specified area (5C)) in the partial area 5A when the effective pixel area is shielded from light, and a correcting means for correcting fixed pattern noise of exposure data obtained from the partial area 5A based on the light shield data when the effective pixel area is exposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
