<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recombinant protein (rAF) called an antisecretory factor and its homologues or its fragments effective for normalizing pathological transport of liquids and/or inflammatory reactions in mammals including humans. <P>SOLUTION: The recombinant protein having a specific amino acid sequence, or its homologues or its fragments, an antibody specific to the same, a nucleic acid encoding the same, a vector and a host containing the nucleic acid are provided. The protein (rAF) and its homologues and fragments are useful for immunodetermination and effective as a feed additive for growing animals, an anti-diarrhea agent and a pharmaceutical agent for diseases including edema, dehydration and/or inflammation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
