A pole changing type synchronous motor is provided to increase an amount of a motor coil wound around a tooth by minimizing interference with the motor coil. A pole changing type synchronous motor(100) includes a stator(110), a rotor(120), a magnet layer(130), an exciting pole(140), and an exciting coil winding groove(150). In the stator, motor coils(112) are wound around a plurality of teeth(111). The rotor is installed to rotate from the stator and includes a plurality of conductors(122). The magnet layer is installed to have the teeth and pores at the rotor and is made of magnetic material which is magnetized again. The exciting pole is positioned between the teeth of the stator to face the magnet layer and performs magnetization to arrange poles on the magnet layer alternately. An exciting coil(141) is wound around the exciting pole. The exciting coil winding groove is formed at an outer circumferential surface of the exciting pole to increase an amount of the exciting coil wound around the exciting pole.
