PURPOSE:To make effective use of a limited space inside a factory by providing at the rear end of a driving trolley unit a second stoppage detected portion which a stoppage detector can detect when a moving body for conveyance comes close to another moving body for conveyance ahead on a diagonally travelling passage portion. CONSTITUTION:In a diagonally travelling passage portion comprising two guide rails 32, 33 laid parallel to each other, a driving trolley unit 2 and a driven trolley unit 3 are made to travel on the respective guide rails 32, 33 and each moving body 1 for conveyance can be made to run while in its diagonal position. In this case, the automatic stopping function of a stoppage detector 25 provided at the front end and a second stoppage detected portion 29 at the rear end of the driving trolley unit 2 is utilized to prevent collision, the driving trolley unit 2 travelling on one of the guide rails while keeping its position parallel to the rail. Each moving body 1 for conveyance can be stored in a factory while in its diagonal position, with the distance between the detector 25 and the detected portion 29 secured in their longitudinal direction and a part of one moving body 1 overlapping the other moving body 1 in the cross direction. |
