The invention relates to a time-interleaving method (1) and a time interleaver (ETS) for data. The data is intended to be sequentially transmitted by a baseband carrier of a single-carrier transmission device (EM). The method comprises interleaving a subsequent data block according to an interleaving law that is variable over time for a given transmission mode of the transmission device.
