A call forwarding service system and a method thereof are provided to present a more improved, refined call forwarding service by separately processing charging and caller information for the first user, who makes a request for a call forwarding service, and the second user, who accepts the first user's call forwarding service, in case the second user uses his terminal in common with the first user. A call forwarding service system comprises an originating MSC(Mobile Switching Center), an originating HLR(Home Location Register), a serving HLR, and a serving MSC. The originating MSC receives a call originated from a calling terminal. In case the call contains a feature code, the originating HLR provides a call forwarding subscriber terminal number equivalent to the feature code to the originating MSC. The serving HLR provides the location information of a called terminal to the originating MSC according to a request from the originating MSC. If the originating MSC makes a call connection request for the called terminal on the basis of the call forwarding subscriber terminal number, the serving MSC connects the call to the called terminal. |
