MIDDLE AND LARGE-SIZED BATTERY PACK OF EXCELLENT COOLING EFFICIENCY

A middle and large-sized battery pack is provided to ensure the compact and stable structure, to homogenize the flow rate of the refrigerant flown in the flow channel between battery cells and to effectively remove the heat generated in charging/discharging of the battery cell. A middle and large-sized battery pack(100) comprises a cell module assembly, a pair of side support members, at least one connecting member, base plate and pack housing(170). The cell module assembly is arranged to mutually connect a plurality of battery modules(110) perpendicularly formed with a refrigerant flow in a side direction. The side support members surround an outer-most battery module in the battery module assembly to maintain the arrangement and are cross-coupled with the connecting member. The battery module assembly is mounted on the base plate. The pack housing is mounted to surround the exterior of the battery module assembly. The refrigerant for cooling the battery module is flowed through the refrigerant inlet positioned at one side upper end of the battery module assembly, perpendicularly passes through each battery module while progressing it in the arrangement direction of the battery module, and is ejected through the refrigerant outlet positioned at the lower side of the battery module assembly of the refrigerant inlet direction.
