A device for transmitting and receiving object information of an image is provided to obtain additional information about an object on a screen by providing the information to a server, through a control channel, after producing the specific object information, about an encoded image of object-based which does include BIFS information, at a network available for an interactive service. A method for transmitting and receiving object information of an image comprises a step of transmitting object-based encoded media image data to an external device(210); a step of receiving time information of a frame and location information of an object in the frame(220); a step of searching the object, corresponding to the received time information and location information, in the encoded media image data of object-based(230); and a step of transmitting the additional information about the searched object to the external device. |
