A multipurpose pin-pad and a method thereof are provided to supply a multipurpose pin-pad in a card terminal system for an advertisement at an affiliated store. A multipurpose pin-pad and a method thereof comprise the following units. A memory module(210) stores a predetermined operating program and contents information. A card reading module(220) reads customer information recorded in a credit card. A sign pad module(230) senses a signature of a client and displays contents information received from a predetermined contents information providing system at a standstill. A pin-pad module(240) is compose of number keys and function keys processing an operation menu. A pad display module(250) displays contents of transaction approval.
