COMPUTER AIDED DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM FOR MALIGNANT MELANOMA USING IMAGE ANALYSIS

A diagnosis system for malignant melanoma with image analysis is provided to detect characteristics of malignant melanoma by using an image of pigmentosa skin disease obtained from dermoscopy. A dermoscopy takes a picture of a skin of patient. A storing part stores a decision standard of a malignant melanoma. A characteristic of the malignant melanoma is extracted through color and morphology analysis about an image of pigmentosa skin disease obtained by the dermoscopy. The decision standard of the malignant melanoma is prepared through learning of the characteristic of the malignant melanoma. The learning is performed by SVM(Support Vector Machine). A decision part determines the malignant melanoma from the characteristic of the skin image of the patient based on the decision standard of the malignant melanoma. The color analysis is performed with analysis of the number of color, blue-white veil analysis, or uniformity analysis.
