PURPOSE:To precisely detect the jumping state of a motorcycle so as to enhance the durability of the motorbicycle by providing to the body of the motorcycle a jump sensor for detecting the downward oscillation of a rear fork in excess of a normal vertical oscillation range, and disposing the sensor near the center of gravity of the body of the motorbicycle. CONSTITUTION:A jump sensor 22 which detects as the jumped state of a motor bicycle M the downward oscillation of a rear fork 5 in excess of a normal vertical oscillation range is provided to the body 1 of the motorcycle M and is disposed near the center of gravity G of the body 1. The angle of the down ward oscillation of the rear fork 5 more than a fixed value is thus detected by the jump sensor 22 so that the jumping state of the motorcycle M can be detected with precision. Because the jump sensor 22 is disposed near the center of gravity G of the body of the motorbicycle, the jump sensor 22 is less affected by vibration caused by pitching of the motorcycle M so the durability of the motorbicycle M is enhanced. |
