A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery guaranteeing high safety is provided to suppress physical inner short generation caused by exposure of an electrode surface, thereby having high reliability. A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery guaranteeing high safety comprises a positive electrode(21), a negative electrode(22), and an electrolyte. A side or both sides of the positive electrode and negative electrode include a porous protective film. The porous protective film has a binder, a fine particle, and a surfactant. A method for producing an electrode consists of the following steps of: mixing a positive electrode active material, conductive material, and a binder to manufacture a cathode mix; dispersing the cathode mix in a solvent to manufacture cathode mix slurry; and coating the cathode mix slurry on a cathode current collector. |
