PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING CATARACT

A pharmaceutical composition including a transglutaminase(TGase 2) inhibitor or N-acetylcysteine(NAC) is provided to suppress the outbreak of cataract and cure the cataract and to ensure high safety on organism. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cataract comprises (a) pharmaceutically effective dose of a transglutaminase(TGase 2) inhibitor or N-acetylcysteine(NAC); and (b)a pharmaceutically allowable carrier. The transglutaminase(TGase 2) inhibitor is the cystamine or the cysteamine.
